- 3 (15 ounces) cans pork and beans, undrained
- 1 (15 ounces) can chili beans
- 1 large onion, medium diced
- 1 green pepper, small diced
- 1/2 pound bacon, chopped (I used an apple wood smoked bacon)
- 2 cups barbecue sauce (I used Famous Dave's)
- 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
- 1/2 -1 teaspoon chipotle chile powder
Preheat oven to 350-degrees F. Butter a large baking dish and set aside.
In a large bowl, mix together all ingredients.
Pour into baking dish and bake uncovered for 1 1/2 to 2 hours, stirring 2-3 times during the baking process. The cooking time is up to personal preference, depending on how much liquid you like in your beans.
Eat 'um.
