Ingredients
For the muffins:
1½
cups
all-purpose flour
1½
teaspoons
baking powder
¼
teaspoon
nutmeg
⅓
cup
melted butter
½
cup
white sugar
1
egg
½
cup
milk
For the Topping:
½
cup
sugar
1
teaspoon
cinnamon
½
cup
butter, melted
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350-degrees F. Spray muffin pan with non-stick cooking spray or use muffin papers.
For the muffins:
In a large bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, and nutmeg. Set aside.
In a medium bowl, mix together the the melted butter, white sugar, egg, and milk.
Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients. Stir just until combined.
Spoon batter into muffin tin or muffin papers, about 3/4 full. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until muffins just start to turn golden at the edges.
For the topping:
Mix sugar and cinnamon together in a small bowl. Set aside.
In a separate small bowl, place the melted butter. Dip the tops of the warm muffins in the melted butter, then in the cinnamon sugar.
