In a large bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, and nutmeg. Set aside.
In a medium bowl, mix together the the melted butter, white sugar, egg, and milk.
Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients. Stir just until combined.
Spoon batter into muffin tin or muffin papers, about 3/4 full. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until muffins just start to turn golden at the edges.
