A Christmas Thought

Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow.   Beattie, Melody

I found this quote in the comments area on another blog. Reading it overshadowed the post I was about to make, so I’ll save that other post for Monday. In my heart of hearts all I really want to do is to wish anyone who reads this, Merry Christmas.

I am so grateful for the birth of the Savior, so grateful for the life that he lived. When I think of him, I feel still inside. No matter what my personal storms may be, he is the only one who can calm them or calm me so that I can ride out those storms. Through the experiences of my life, I have come to know Jesus Christ, the living son of the living God, in ways that I had never imagined possible.

Whatever the circumstances in your life may be at this time, I still say to you Merry Christmas. There is one who has experienced every joy and every sorrow of mortal life, Jesus Christ, the Redeemer of this world. I know that he is real; I know that he “turns what we have into enough, and more.”

Great thought, Terri. It’s good to slow down and think about the meaning of the season. I, too, can relate with the “calm” that comes from our Savior. Merry Christmas to you too, my friend!!
