Blog Issues

Just in case you have somehow magically managed to access this blog, this is an update on blog issues at this time.

I am in the process of changing domain servers, from Google to GoDaddy. I started this process on May 28, 2013. Although it is a simple matter to transfer from one server to another, Google has not yet released to GoDaddy and my links are not working. I have been told that issue may not be fixed before June 9, 2013.

The URL of takes you to my old Blogger blog. The URL of thatssomegoodcookin will allow you access to this WordPress blog. However, none of the internal links on this blog are working. In other words, if you access the Recipe Index and click on a recipe title, you will be directed to a 404 Blue Host link that indicates the page for which you are looking does not exist.

The “search” function is also disabled.

It is possible to move through the blog by clicking on “older” entries or “newer” entries at the bottom of the page. Additionally the header and side bar are not displaying correctly.

Yes, I am frustrated by the issues. I am even more frustrated by the fact that Google does not have a customer service number. Did you know that about Google? Unless you are calling them about advertising, there is absolutely no phone customer service. Be duly warned, do NOT ever purchase a domain name through Google. They will own you and ignore you. They may be great for other things, but never, ever get involved with them with a domain name.

I CAN, however, highly recommend working with either GoDaddy or Blue Host. I have purchased domains through GoDaddy and hosting services through Blue Host. Both companies have excellent customer service. The people with whom I have worked to resolve my blog issues have been absolutely fantastic and they have far exceeded my expectations. Thanks guys!

Finally, if it turns out that I am unable to reopen, I guess that I will just have to move on to a different blog under the domain. Thank you to anyone out there who is still around and takes the time to try and find my blog. ~Terri

    Aww, man, I’m so sorry about your delays. It sounds incredibly frustrating. For the record, I check in all the time, wondering what wonderful food you’ve got going and what kind of humor to accompany it. I hope you can get things sorted out soon. You have a wonderful site . . . I wouldn’t miss it for the world!

      Thanks Carol. The domain name just got switched over to GoDaddy and typing in will get you here and not back to the my old Blogger blog. Yay! However, none of links inside this blog are working. :(. Patience, right? Also, none of the links from Pinterest, Tasty Kitchen, Foodgawker, Tastespotting, etc to my blog are working. Paint me…too darn sleepy right this minute to call Blue Host again and see if they can help me. They’ve been great through all of this. Thanks for sticking with me Carol!

    We’re here and we’ll find you wherever you are! What a bummer! Isn’t it curious that these days when we experience a company with good customer service, it’s something to cheer about.       Thank you, Karla! As of late last night/early this morning and lots of guidance from GoDaddy and Blue Host, I think that things are starting to get worked out. There are a few remaining link issues, but I am figuring things out. Google did finally release my “” domain name to GoDaddy, however there is clean-up work to be done behind the scenes before things are completely functional. Thanks so much for your support.
