Hi all. This is the new home for that’s some good cookin’! Welcome to WordPress. I am so excited to be here!

I realize that it looks pretty much the same around here as it did over at Blogger, but behind the scenes things are a whole lot different. There is so much more that I, as a blogger, can do (or have done) with my blog. I LOOOOOVE it!

There are still a few kinks to work out, but I anticipate that those will be fixed in a day or two. I’m in the kitchen right this very moment working on new recipes. However, I decided to take a few moments to drop in this post while some French bread is rising and a pot of Split Pea Soup with Ham is coming to a boil. The soup is John’s request for dinner tonight. Sheesh, I hope my recipe can live up to his expectations and his Swedish childhood memories.

Why has he never previously asked for split pea soup? I’ve known him for over 32 years and he has never mentioned the soup before now. “Tis a mystery.

    What can I say, I just have been feeling very Swedish the last few weeks and going to IKEA Saturday just made it worse!
